    This episode features former heptathlete, Jessica Zelinka.  Jessica is one of Canada’s most successful heptathletes. Her personal best score in the Heptathlon is 6599.  She was a gold medalist in the 2007 Pan American Games, and she won Silver medals at the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games. Jessica qualified for her first Olympic games in 2008 where she placed 4th overall. She became a mother in 2009 giving birth to her daughter Anika and then returned to training with a renewed sense of purpose in 2012. She was able to qualify for the London Olympics in both the Heptathlon and the 100m Hurdles and finished 5th overall in Hep and 7th in the 100m Hurdle Final!  In 2012, Jessica was awarded the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal. Since her recent retirement, she has been hard at work re-purposing her life to support others in their quest for personal success.  She is life coaching, providing workshops, and public speaking, as well as being a mom. He turned pro and embarked on an 11-year professional career where he played in the NHL, AHL, ECHL, Swedish Elite League and Austrian Elite League.     This episode features a Canadian pioneer in sports psychology, Penny Werthner. Penny is one of Canada’s most distinguished consultants in the field of sport psychology. She has worked with many Olympic level athletes, coaches and teams over a span of 13 summers and winter Olympic Games, from the 1988 winter Olympics in Calgary to the more recent 2016 summer Games in Rio and the 2018 Games in PyeongChang.  Penny represented Canada in the 1500m in Montreal at the 1976 Summer Olympics.
