Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
09/04/2019 Duration: 01h40minYour most excellent hosts travel with Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter on a bodacious journey through space and time. It’s not an exaggeration to say that you will perhaps learn more bizarre facts on this episode than all of our previous episodes combined. We talk about causal loops in time travel, phone booth stuffing, and all the anachronisms you could possibly handle.
-
Dangerous Liaisons
02/04/2019 Duration: 01h40minWelcome to episode ten where we introduce a brand new segment complete with its own badass intro music, Evan gives us a little hint about who he’d probably like to be seduced by (hint: it’s Javier Bardem), Whitney is puzzled as to why the movie went to so much trouble to reveal John Malkovich, and Andrew is unable to split the difference with his overall thoughts because he’s forced to go first.
-
The Prince of Pennsylvania
26/03/2019 Duration: 01h18minYour preferred pack of professional podcasters perseveres painfully through The Prince of Pennsylvania. We all had such high hopes going in—based almost entirely on the cover art, it seems—and left the movie feeling a bit confused and wanting a more grounded story.
-
Permanent Record
19/03/2019 Duration: 01h26minContent warning: this is a film about teen suicide. If you're sensitive to that, you may want to skip this one.In this episode, Andrew reveals that he is an uncultured swine, Evan shows too much interest in the phrase "going together", and Whitney realizes that she has the exact opposite taste in movies from Ev thus far.
-
The Night Before
12/03/2019 Duration: 01h34minWe've arrived at our first official Keanu comedy and boy is it a doozy! This movie has everything: jokes that have aged poorly, sex trafficking, racial stereotypes, our very first Keanu "Whoa!", and George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars. Hijinx ensue!
-
River's Edge
05/03/2019 Duration: 01h47minYour three thinking, feeling, empathetic hosts visit—or in Evan’s case revisit—River’s Edge, a place where the main form of currency is a six-pack of warm beer and weed is apparently free courtesy of the local murderer. We discuss the merits of Dennis Hopper’s saxophone skills (there are none), important phone numbers to remember like 9-1-1, and before the episode wraps we each rank the Keanu films thus far.
-
Brotherhood of Justice
26/02/2019 Duration: 01h41minYour three heroes bravely venture to a perfect-yet-imaginary town in California where the students have decided to take matters of right and wrong into their own hands in between classes in what appears to be a treehouse. We learn that Evan definitely didn’t wear a sweater-blazer combo in high school, Whitney tells us five words she never thought she’d say, and Andrew doesn’t think any party (drug party or not) is complete with hors d'oeuvres.
-
Flying / Dream to Believe
19/02/2019 Duration: 01h21minIn this episode your hosts discuss the 1986 gymnastics film Flying, sometimes referred to as Dream to Believe/Teenage Dream. We learn what the word "distaff" means, Whitney does a better job of selling us on this film in five words than the entire marketing department, and we take a roughly five-minute tangent to discuss hot dogs. Overall, it was a perfect episode.
-
Youngblood
12/02/2019 Duration: 01h13minIn this episode of the podcast we discuss the 80s ice hockey masterpiece Youngblood. Andrew dekes again on Evan and Whitney’s intros, Whitney has difficulty comprehending young Rob Lowe, and Evan would recommend this film to people that are not his enemies.Music for the dramatic reading of the synopsis is care of Philip ChanceThrillist’s conclusive list of Best Hockey Movies of All Time

One Step Away
05/02/2019 Duration: 44minIn this episode your hosts are discussing the 1985 (short?) film One Step Away. We're not going to sugarcoat it here: this is a movie full of plot holes, time jumps, nonsensical dialogue, unclear character motivation, and painful visual fidelity. Despite these myriad problems, we still somehow found a way to talk about it for almost an hour and have a lot of fun doing so.Next week we’ll be watching the 1986 film Youngblood which also stars Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze, and Cynthia Gibb. It’s very likely that simply by virtue of having a DVD copy means we’ll enjoy this more.
