I got high for the first time when I was 12 and drunk when I was 13, and by the time that I was 15 years old, I was expelled from school for selling drugs and have battled other addictions in my life; money, sex, workaholism, you name it, right? I think that holds true for, unfortunately, more people than I think even, I would care to admit, especially those of us who are trauma survivors and the truth that I know about the reality of our lives, is that on the backside of stepping through doing the work healing, ultimately changing the narrative shift

And I want you to think about this as you head into this conversation. Where are you at in your life today? What do you want? What do you feel passionate about? What are you drawn to? • E199: Deal With It | CPTSD and Trauma Healing Podcast

    03/02/2022 Duration: 14min

In this episode, I think about this concept of how you do anything is how you do everything and being in this place of my life where I'm like – I'm not dealing with that thing that I know is going to make me feel better.   The hard decision we make today is that little piece within us that sits in us that says; I need to do this, this concept about what keeps you awake at night. When you apply that to the places in your life right now where you're not showing up? You know, it sucks, the thing you have to do sucks; it's not fun. No part of you wants to do it, but can you deal with it and do it anyway; that whole thing, no excuses, just results.   Can you show up for yourself in all areas of your life? What are you not dealing with today? What pain do you need to get through to feel better on the other side?
