The realities of getting around an apparition site in a different country is explored in this week’s podcast. I visited the “Our Lady of Guadalupe” apparition site in Mexico City a number of years ago now. Recalling my experience in today’s podcast, specifically getting there and also walking up “Tepeyac Hill” becomes more vivid as the years go by. The actual experience is a paradox of inspiration, research, detailed planning, speculation, unexpected challenges, insecurity, confidence, blind faith and timing melded together, in an amalgamation of reward and relief, tension and finally peace. My desire to see and walk the grounds where the Virgin Mary appeared to St Juan Diego over 500 years ago just came to my attention out of the blue (as have all my other tours to various apparition sites in the world.)  And sharing those travels with my lovely wife who has now transitioned to Heaven makes all those investments of time during life more meaningful with each passing day… My take away for this one is the rewar

Part 18- This is the epilogue and final installment from a weekly reading of my first book “The Constant Procession.”  It includes reflections I gleaned during the writing of the book and the feelings I experienced while visiting apparition sites where the Madonna has appeared. Part 17- This is the seventeenth and final installment of my first book “The Constant Procession.” Listen from the beginning- Episode 409- Part 1 NOTE: These final chapters were written before the current war between the Ukraine and Russia broke out. The time period I wrote about began in 1922 when the Ukraine was totally controlled by the USSR. In 1991, the USSR broke into the numerous independent countries that included the Ukraine. Russia became the most powerful country in the region and this distinction continues today.   Chapter 28 continues to describe this earlier time period when Ukrainian churches were under siege during the times of the USSR’s religious suppression. However, it was Ukrainian Immigrants to North America who kept them going during this suppression. The final chapter is about apparition sites where the Virgin Mary has appeared.
