  • Game 19 vs Chicago: This... This Was Trash!!!!

    03/12/2019 Duration: 25min

I don't have a clever or descriptive write up for this game. If you missed it - see the title of today's episode.Kings lose 113-106 and it was actually much worse than that.

  • Game 18 vs Denver: This... This Was Impressive!!!!

    01/12/2019 Duration: 28min

The Kings improve to 8-10 after an improbable overtime victory against the Denver Nuggets. The Kings were down by as many as 17 in the first half and were making little headway well into the 3rd quarter. The Kings closed regulation on a 17-3 run after Denver couldn't convert anything for must of the 4th quarter. Lots of players game up big in this one. Harrison Barnes continues to be a great leader. Luke Walton is happy... but he expects his team to win at home. Kings fans should be proud of this one.

  • Game 17 @ Philadelphia: Shots Don't Fall

    28/11/2019 Duration: 24min

Kings fall 97-19 to the 76ers.Finish the road trip 1-3.Not a disastrous trip in terms of the way they played but the results aren't there. Their defense but them in position to take over multiple times. Points in the paint in the 1st vs 2nd half. Luke Walton's post game conference. Concerns about Bagley and Fox returning and the short term problems that may create for the team. Denver coming up Saturday afternoon. Enjoy your holiday.

  • Game 16 @ Boston: The Buddy 3 Party Falls 1 Point Short

    26/11/2019 Duration: 26min

This game was absolutely phenomenal. Give me 7 games of these two teams. Give me 82!!! This was great. A career night for Buddy Hield, unfortunately the Kings fall one point short in the TD Garden and fall to 7-9 after a thrilling 103-102 loss to the Boston Celtics. Two classics in 8 days. Two big time performances from Buddy Buckets. Kings struggled defensively tonight but there is far more good to take away from this one than there is bad. No rest - next game Wednesday against Philly.

  • Game 15: @ Washington: Barnes Near Perfect, Kings Win in DC

    25/11/2019 Duration: 20min

  • Game 13 vs Phoenix: Kings Win But....

    20/11/2019 Duration: 28min

The first quarter sets the tone as the Kings beat the Suns 120-116. Bogi's career night concludes with some concern over his hamstring. Big night from Richaun Holmes. It wasn't all good... Kings aw a 26 point lead shrink to 3 with 13 seconds left in the game. Turnovers and iso ball took the Kings away from the 60%+ they were shooting in the first half. 4 game road trip starts Friday with Brooklyn.

  • Game 11 @ Lakers: Tripped Up At The Buzzer

    16/11/2019 Duration: 28min

Kings solid defensive effort results in a 2-point loss to the Western Conference leading Los Angeles Lakers. Kings now 4-7 on the season. The story of the game - Kings never went away every time LeBron and the Lakers made a run at them. Bogi was in position to be the hero again. Did LeBron trip Barnes? Should Barnes have had the ball in the position? No moral victories, but the Kings are starting to build a solid sample size of better defensive basketball. • Game 9 @ Atlanta: 3 The Hard Way

    09/11/2019 Duration: 24min

Kings beat Atlanta 121-109 Hot shooting from 3 was the difference. The Hawks had chances to take this game away but abandoned what was working for them. Harry Giles returned. So did Trevor Ariza. Very different returns. Big time performances from the bench. Trae Young go hot in the 3rd and that may have been the Hawks downfall. A lot has been written and said about Harry Giles this week. Portland is next, Tuesday at the Golden One Center.

  • Game 8 @ Toronto: Streak Ends at 2

    07/11/2019 Duration: 25min

Kings fall to the Raptors 124-120.Kings now 2-6 on the season. Kings had their opportunities to steal this game while the Raptors had their opportunities to blow them out. Kawhi may be in LA but the Raptors are still a very good basketball. Is this a moral victory kind of night? Should you have moral victories at 2-6? Strong offensive night from Harrison Barnes. Back at it following the Kings and the Hawks on Friday night.

  • Game 7 @ New York: Soooo... 77-5?

    04/11/2019 Duration: 26min

Kings win their second straight beating New York 113-92. I’ll do my best to make this podcast more entertaining than the game. Kings went on 11-0 run to the start the 2nd quarter and that was the game. Another big night from De’Arron Fox. Differences in last year vs this year. Half court offense. Defense. This wasn’t pretty, but it counts. Next game, Wednesday against the defending champion Toronto Raptors. Check out The Podcast with Damien Barling for daily sports talk that ventures outside the Kings and in to national stories. Connect anytime. 24/7 text line 916-888-5898damienbarling@me.comInstagram: @damienbarlingTwitter:@damienbarling

  • Game 6 vs Utah: Finally.

    02/11/2019 Duration: 26min

Kings get there first win of the season 102-101 over the Utah Jazz. This game was all about DeArron Fox. Barnes hit the game winner, but they won because of DeArron. Defensively they looked different. Offensively they looked the same. Team heads to New York to take on the Knicks Sunday.

  • Game 5 vs Charlotte: This sucks!!!!!

    31/10/2019 Duration: 26min

The Kings played a bad basketball team. The result tells you all you need to know.

  • Game 4 vs Denver: Richaun Holmes Is A Winner, Kings Are Not

    29/10/2019 Duration: 28min

Kings fall to 0-4 after a 101-94 loss to the Denver Nuggets. This was the Kings best performance of the year but another dreadful 3rd quarter put them in a difficult position down the stretch. Unlike previous games, there are some positives here. More assists. Less turnovers. Pace and scoring is still down. Richaun Holmes had an incredible game. He’s gonna get a lot of attention for what he did offensively but what he did defensively against Nikola Jokic should make him a starter moving forward. Next game: Charlotte, Wednesday night at the Golden One Center. ventures outside the Kings and in to national stories. Connect anytime. 24/7 text line 916-888-5898damienbarling@me.comInstagram: @damienbarlingTwitter:@damienbarling

  • Game 2 vs Portland: Bigs Struggle, Dame Time

    26/10/2019 Duration: 29min

The Blazers spoil opening night at the Golden One Center, beat the Kings 122-112Kings 0-2 to start the season. It’s going to be difficult for the Kings to compete with teams that have superstars. Dame and CJ took over in the 4th quarter and put the game out of reach. The Kings had stretches in the the 3rd quarter were they played good defense, both in the half court and transition. And they still managed to give up 37. De’Aaron stepped up and tried to carry the load but it wasn’t enough.Much like Buddy on Wednesday, Bogi had a hot start and a cold finish. Rough night for the bigs. This isn’t gonna work for the next 4-6 weeks. Team is headed to Utah to play the Jazz Saturday night. Check out The Podcast with Damien Barling for daily sports talk that ventures outside the Kings and in to national stories. Connect anytime. 24/7 text line 916-888-5898damienbarling@me.comInstagram: @damienbarlingTwitter:@damienbarling

  • Game 1 @ PHX: A Disastrous Start to the Season

Game 1 of the regular season is in the books… and it was a disaster. Buddy’s hot start. Back and forth game that left a lot to be desired. De’Arron’s foul trouble and its impact. This looked like the last game after a long road trip. The Suns defensive intensity really bothered the Kings in the 3rd quarter.Too many turnovers, not enough assists. Ricky Rubio’s impact. ISO ball.Disaster. In every sense of the word. What’s next? Check out The Podcast with Damien Barling for daily sports talk that ventures outside the Kings and in to national stories. Connect anytime. 24/7 text line 916-888-5898damienbarling@me.comInstagram: @damienbarlingTwitter:@damienbarling

  • Postgame: PS Game 5 vs Melbourne, Contract Talk

    17/10/2019 Duration: 31min

The shorthanded Kings dominate Melbourne United at the Golden One Center to wrap up their 2019 preseason. Huge games from Marvin Bagley and Yogi Ferrell. Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic were both offered contract extensions. I don’t expect Bogi to sign his at all. It seems the Kings and Buddy aren’t far apart but why that number might be significantly larger than it appears. We discuss the implications of these two contracts and what happens if one or both don’t sign them. Check out The Podcast with Damien Barling for daily sports talk that ventures outside the Kings and in to national stories. Connect anytime. 24/7 text line 916-888-5898damienbarling@me.comInstagram: @damienbarlingTwitter:@damienbarling
