As Peter Capaldi wraps up first term as the 12th Doctor the Regular Joes assess his time in the Tardis. How does the season measure up? This season's TV line up is stacked with titles from the comic book rack, but three of the best offerings are returning shows. In this episode Dave, Barry and Tod discuss how The Walking Dead, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Arrow have hit the ground running. Also, the Regular Joes share their thoughts on the Star Wars Episode VII title reveal, and get "creepy" with Cosplayer Nicole Marie Jean, plus What’s in the Box and more! On this episode, Dave Barry and Tod recount their recent trip to the Rhode Island Comic Con, including interviews with Seth Gilliam (Walking Dead, The Wire), Katrina Law (Arrow, Spartacus), Karen Allen (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Scrooged), Steven Williams (21 Jump Street, X-Files, Supernatural) and Terry Carter (Battlestar Galacticia).  They talk about meeting artists, celebrities, cosplaying as Batman and the Goons and much more.  It’s a episode that you won’t want to miss!

On this episode, Dave, Barry, and Tod talk about the big Marvel Phase 3 movie announcement, tell some real-life ghost stories and they recount their recent trip to the Chiller Theater convention in Parsippany NJ, including interviews with actors Jenette Goldstein and Mark Rolston, who played Pvt. Vasquez and Pvt. Drake in Aliens.  All this, plus Show and Tell and a Halloween themed edition of Desert Island DVD’s.

This week Disney told the story of a nimble young street thief who stumbles upon a powerful artifact which forever changes his destiny. No, it was not a rerun of Aladdin. It's Star Wars: Rebels, Disney's first foray into a Galaxy far far away.  How does Rebels stand up against the late, lamented, Clone Wars series? With many familiar elements (possibly too many) will this be the gateway drug for a new generation of Star Wars addicts?  Also, a random look at fall shows to date, What's In The Box and The 1977 edition of Desert Island DVDs.  It’s more fun than bullseying wamp rats with your T-16 in beggars canyon!

It's time to shave your sideburns to a point and pour your self a square glass of Romulan ale as the Regular Joe's pit 1979's Star Trek the Motion Picture against its 1982 sequel Star Trek II the Wrath of Khan In a head-to-head matchup. Why does one hit where the other so obviously misses? Tod explains, yet again why "The Motionless Picture" persists as his example of cinematic disappointment, while Barry makes the case for the director's cut.  All this plus more Trekkie goodness.    

Summer is officially over and the kids are back to school, which can only mean one thing… no, not Football...it's time for TV! This week the Regular Joes discuss the upcoming TV season, the new shows they are excited about and the returning shows they are looking forward to most.  They also share their thoughts on Apples latest iPhone and watch announcements, along with What’s in the Box and a healthy dose of random topics.

As the summer movie season winds to a close the Regular Joe's ask the question, can a critically acclaimed comic book, that can't sustain a mass audience, transition to a blockbuster film? It's summer, time to fire up the grill and hang out with your friends. Consider this your (slightly overdue) invitation to the Regular Joe's annual barbecue. Due largely to Dave's irrepressible desire to record everything, this episode presents a never before heard perspective on what Barry, Dave and Tod's wives actually think of the podcast, their collecting, and the time and space requirements of both. Also, Show and Tell, and some Random Topics mostly having to do with ComicCon.  Note: do not go back in the water for half an hour after listening to this podcast.   

In this episode Dave, Barry and Tod are talking Apes…well, talking about Apes anyway.  They discuss the latest movie in the revitalized Planet of the Apes saga, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes as well as the previous and film in the series, Rise of the Planet of the Apes.  What’s more, the Regular Joes all subjected themselves to a re-watching of the now infamous Tim Burton “Apes” film from 2001 and they try to find something nice to say about it…can they do it, listen and find out.  Also, “What’s in the Box”, its as much fun as a barrel of monkeys, or Apes!

In this episode Dave, Barry and Tod try a bit of an experiment, lending their insights, encyclopedic knowledge of random facts, and running commentary to the 1976 film Logan's Run. Nearly four decades later does it's chrome and lucite view of the future hold up? Is it the best sci-fi film ever shot in a shopping mall? And, are any of the Regular Joe's capable of maintaining conversation when Jenny Agutter disrobes? As Tod contemplates moving his stuff into a larger space, the Regular Joes discuss how they display their collections, how that has evolved over time, and what they would do absent any monetary or space restrictions. They also cover some Random Topics, discuss a few items from their collections in “Show and Tell” and pick their favorite movies from 1976 in “Desert Island DVD’s” which also features a guest pick from Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Grimes from the Walking Dead.

Dave goes to Philly, Barry and Dave go to EternalCon and Tod goes to Mars ... sort of. It's a collection of random reminiscences and one Robin related rant. Segments include What’s in the Box and The Long Box.

In a special episode recorded the last time that Barry, Dave and Tod were in the same room, the Regular Joes take a stab at being producers, pitching sequels they have always wanted to see made. While most follow up films emerge within a few years of the original, our team focus on films and characters they’ve wanted to see resuscitated for decades. Also, Who Would Win in a Fight and a Desert Island DVDs installment devoted to films they should already have picked but had not.
