An early season finale means that "Success is Assured" ...for the villain! Without the Speed Force, the team is not sure what to do to get Iris out of the Mirror World. Then Ralph remember the diamond he got from Sue, which leads them to a warehouse that could give them what they need to stop Carver once and for all. But Eva's mirror Singh burns it down before they get what they need. Now they know they'll have to protect Carver before Eva gets her vengeance. Now that the warehouse is burned down, Sue infiltrates Carver's organization to take him out. Ralph tries to convince her it's not worth it, but they may be too late anyway when Sunshine, Ultraviolet, and Dr. Light show up to help Eva. The team fights valiantly to save the arrogant man, but Eva is powerful. Can they stop her and save Iris too? Looks like we'll have to wait all year long to find out. Sometimes you have to "Pay the Piper." Barry desperately tries to figure out a way to save Iris from her mirror prison. But then Godspeed shows up to steal Barry's speed. At first nobody believes him, and with a little mirror trickery, Eva manages to make people think that he is the doppelganger, and they lock up Barry instead! Meanwhile the Mirror Mistress is arranging for her minions to get some life blood from Bloodwork so she can finally be free. But before she escapes, Barry and Mirror Iris go head-to-head in a surprisingly one sided fight. It could be "So Long and Goodnight" for Joe West as he gets closer to proving Joseph Carver has connections to Black Hole. Carver has hired Rag Doll to take out the Captain. The power of Flash compels you to witness "The Exorcism of Nash Wells". Nash continues to be controlled by Eobard Thawne, Flash's speed continues to dwindle, and a new mirrored Kamilla helps Eva McCulloch to get her prismatic refractor before Sunshine gets it. The team has a lot to worry about. Cisco thinks he can exorcise Thawne from Wells but ultimately it's going to have to be Nash that faces his inner demons to get rid of the vindictive speedster. The new meta threat named Sunshine and working with Black Hole, is after a tool that Eva made. Joe tries to put it in ARGUS's hands before the CCPD mole gets to it. Without his speed, how will Barry stop it from falling in the wrong hands? The "Death of the Speed Force" is likely to cause a lot of problems for any speedster. Wally West returns as a Zen speed master and has some great lessons for Barry. That should be an easy capture if Flash and Kid Flash are working together. But that's when Wally notices Barry's waning speed ability. They discover that the Speed Force is dying. Barry doesn't buy it. With a little help from the backup team at STAR Labs, he discovers that the only way he's going to escape is by teaming up with Grodd. Nash does a very poor job of revealing his personal truths to Allegra. And Iris is still trapped in the Mirror Dimension with a very nervous Eva McCulloch. Ralph finally finds "A Girl Named Sue". Dearbon, that is. But she seems to be in deep trouble and on the run from a dangerous guy. Ralph, being the noble hero he is, sticks with her to protect and bring the dastardly gangster named Loring to justice. They infiltrate his hideout to get a ledger and in the process comes to trust this woman he's spent almost a year looking for. He even reveals his elongated secret. By bending a few rules they get into Loring's vault, but Sue has a surprise for her new friend. On the other side of the mirror, Iris tries to convince Eva McCulloch not to give up hope of escape, and even comes up with a few new ideas. "Love is a Battlefield" in Central City on Valentines Day. While Barry and Iris try to enjoy a romantic evening together, they stumble into a villain war between Amunet Black and Goldface. Both try to acquire a rare flower that will enable mindreading. It turns out that the two used to be romantically involved with each other. Barry, fearing that she will reveal his secret identity to the world if he stops her, is forced to covertly track the two scorned lovers with Iris. But Iris seems to be using some questionably safe tactics to get close to them. Meanwhile, Allegra mopes over a lost love that she's recently run into. Frost, looking to prove her worth, tries to hook them back up. It doesn't go very well until Nash gives her some good advice. If the team makes it through this romantic holiday, they may run into some very familiar faces. Is life a "Marathon" or a sprint? Barry sure is ready to race out of the starting blocks of a post-Crisis Earth. He chases after a whole slew of new villains facing Central City and he is determined to honor the legacy of Oliver Queen. And he is especially anxious to decipher a hidden message on the Green Arrow mask that John Diggle brings him as a tribute to his late friend. But Barry may be reading a little too much into all of it. Cisco is pretty upset about the loss of trillions of lives, including all his friends on all the other Earths. He takes it out on Nash, who seems to be sticking around for a while. And Iris tracks down a deadly organization known as Black Hole, but may have bitten off more than she can chew. "Crisis on Infinite Earths" parts 1, 2, & 3 is the epic crossover we have been waiting for! A wave of antimatter sweeps across the multiverse destroying every DC universe we know. Some heroes escape and gather on Earth-1 to try to understand the Monitor's intentions and plan a strategy for what's to come. They'll have to gather seven heroes, or Paragons, that can save them all. Traveling to different Earths to find them, we see different versions of our favorite characters, some good, some bad. But even when they do find the heroes they need, they have roadblocks such as the Anti-Monitor and Lex Luthor. Despite their best efforts, and heroic sacrifices, it looks as if worlds will die and the fate of every living thing will hang in the balance...at least until January. "The Last Temptation of Barry Allen (part 2)" presents Bloodwork's final stand against the Flash. Now in full control of our hero, Bloodwork begins infecting all the people in Central City. Cisco thinks fast and puts up a force field around STAR Labs, which will even keep out Dark Flash. But the city is quickly turning. Nash Wells is trapped in the tunnel, Kamilla and Cecile are trapped in the office, and everyone is having to make their final stand. Iris, believing she can get through to her husband, confronts his darker persona. Cisco thinks he can shoot Bloodwork and Dark Flash with his new invention and then take care of the city. But it has yet to be tested. Neither succeed and are forced to retreat back behind the force field. Luckily, Barry may still be lurking behind Rosso's control and sends them a cryptic message. As Crisis looms, the Flash is faced with "The Last Temptation of Barry Allen." By saving Ralph after Ramsey's attack, Barry has become infected with the villain's powerful meta cells. Now he lives a nightmare in his own mind. Ramsey gives him the choice to join him and become more powerful than ever to save himself from his impending doom. Luckily the Speed Force is there to give him helpful guidance in the form of his mother. As the infection works its way into Barry's system, he experiences the wonderful possibilities his life could bring if he survives his future. The birth of Nora, a happy family, and more power to do good. The Speed Force tries to help him see how important it is to follow the right path, but Barry's doubt weighs heavily. The decision Barry makes could determine the fate of the multiverse. Dibney, Ralph Dibney has a "License to Elongate". That doesn't always mean that he's going to use his powers though. Sometimes it takes a little finesse. He takes Barry along on a mission to find Sue Dearbon at a party run by weapons dealer, Remington Meister. But Barry isn't used to doing things so slowly. So when his impulses get them caught, Ralph comes up with a much more spy-like plan to stop Meister from destroying Central City; truly the mark of a primary hero. Back at STAR Labs, Chester P. Runk emerges from his recovery chamber and tries to get back to his day-to-day life with the help of Cecile. And Nash uses Allegra as his main resource to get into the Monitor's underground vault. Blow a "Kiss Kiss Breach Breach" to our good friend Cisky. He's left in charge this week as Barry and Iris spend some quality time in his final days on a vacation in Tahiti. He's not worried though. His automated B.A.R.I. program should be able to give him any answers that he may need should a problem arise. And of course it does. First he seems to be having some hallucinations and sleepwalking. Then, Breacher shows up and tells him that Gypsy has been murdered. Distraught, Cisco vows to help bring the killer to justice. And with the help of his very understanding girlfriend Kamilla, they begin to unravel the mystery only to discover that it may be Cisco himself that did it. Plus, Joe gets trapped underground with Nash Wells, where the two await rescue and discuss their faith. "There Will Be Blood" in Central City, now that Ramsey Rosso's meta powers have fully developed. The mad doctor realizes that the only way to hold off his pain is by using scared people to incubate the dark substance that turned him into a twisted meta. But Barry and the other team members don't realize his intentions yet. They continue to wallow in their emotions about losing Barry in the upcoming Crisis. Ralph has given up his search for Sue Dearbon and Cisco still refuses to accept that there's nothing he can do. When Nash Wells returns, asking for their help. Cisco uses the opportunity to stash away a possible solution for saving his friend. But Barry wants Cisco to be the leader when he's gone and to teach him what a good leader does, he asks for a cure to Rosso's disease. Of course, they have to throw away those plans when Rosso begins using hospital patients to become more powerful. Does Barry accept that he is a "Dead Man Running"? Or can he change his destiny during the coming Crisis? He and Iris fill in the team about the Monitor's warning, but they fail to mention that he will have to die. The cruel truth hangs over his head, and it helps him confront the desperate attitude of Ramsey Rosso when they team up to stop the zombie-like Mitch Romero who has been contaminated by Rosso's experiments. Frost is understandably upset about the universe's pending doom and takes her frustration out on whoever she's around. And Ralph gets called to CCPD to bail his mom out of a robbery accusation. But she's got secrets that might upset her son. And we finally see the return of a Harrison Wells, but this one may be the most mysterious of all. Flash runs like "A Flash of the Lightning" this week as tries to discover the possibilities his tragic future may bring. After Monitor told him that he has to die in order for the universe to survive, Barry tries to run into the Speed Force to one day after he supposedly disappears. But there is an antimatter barrier blocking him from any possibility of getting there. Luckily he is able to contact Jay Garrick on Earth-3 for a mental trip to a billion possibilities. The result isn't pretty. It knocks Barry out pretty good as he sees death and destruction with no hope for him. As he contemplates what this all means, the team tries to solve the mystery of a meta named Allegra Garcia, who is on trial for murder. But Cecile believes her to be innocent, which leads them to the powerful menace calling herself Ultraviolet.
