I thought this might be interesting for our listeners, because this is my big picture goal for my fitness business: autonomous independent clients who don't need me anymore because they learned everything they need to learn. At first, you might think that this is not a good business strategy. How are you going to continue to earn money from these clients if they don't need you anymore?     What's the proper way to breathe when exercising? This is a great question, yet just like so many things that I do: it depends. It largely depends on how intense the workout is. For example, if you're lying on your back, obviously you can take deeper and slower breaths. In this episode, I also detail the type of breathing that I like to do with lifting weights and also with cardio exercise. And lastly, the breathing will depend on how intensely you are exercising. Also, if you are in great shape you will not need to breathe as much as somebody who is sucking wind because they are out of shape. This technique of deep breathing can also help you improve your athletic performance. I've noticed that my ability to breathe deeply has greatly helped me because my muscles are getting more oxygenated, and therefore can do more work easier.
